Deuteronomy 4:2-3

[2] Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.[3] Your eyes have seen what the LORD did because of Baal-peor: for all the men that followed Baal-peor, the LORD thy God hath destroyed them from among you.

Deuteronomy 4:35-36

Deuteronomy 7:3-5

Deuteronomy 16:19-22

[19] Thou shalt not wrest judgment; thou shalt not respect persons, neither take a gift: for a gift doth blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous.[20] That which is altogether just shalt thou follow, that thou mayest live, and inherit the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.[21] Thou shalt not plant thee a grove of any trees near unto the altar of the LORD thy God, which thou shalt make thee.[22] Neither shalt thou set thee up any image; which the LORD thy God hateth.

Deuteronomy 17:2-7

So thou shalt put the evil away from among you.

Deuteronomy 17:18-20

[18] And it shall be, when he sitteth upon the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write him a copy of this law in a book out of that which is before the priests the Levites:[19] And it shall be with him, and he shall read therein all the days of his life: that he may learn to fear the LORD his God, to keep all the words of this law and these statutes, to do them:[20] That his heart be not lifted up above his brethren, and that he turn not aside from the commandment, to the right hand, or to the left: to the end that he may prolong his days in his kingdom, he, and his children, in the midst of Israel.

Deuteronomy 18:9-14

[9] When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.[10] There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch,[11] Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.[12] For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.[13] Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God.[14] For these nations, which thou shalt possess, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners: but as for thee, the LORD thy God hath not suffered thee so to do.

Deuteronomy 18:19-22

[19] And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.[20] But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.[21] And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken?[22] When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.


Deuteronomy 27:26

[26] Cursed be he that confirmeth not all the words of this law to do them. And all the people shall say, Amen.

Deuteronomy 28:13-15

Deuteronomy 29:29

Deuteronomy 31:24-26

[24] And it came to pass, when Moses had made an end of writing the words of this law in a book, until they were finished,[25] That Moses commanded the Levites, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, saying,[26] Take this book of the law, and put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, that it may be there for a witness against thee.

Joshua 1:7-8

God Preserves His Word Forever

Psalm 12:6-7

[6] The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.[7] Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

Psalm 18:30

[30] As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.

Psalm 19:7-9

[7] The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.[8] The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.[9] The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.

Psalm 25:10

[10] All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.

Psalm 40:7-8

[7] Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me,[8] I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.

1 Peter 1:22-25

2 Timothy 3:15-17

Proverbs 30:4-7

Isaiah 8:18-20

Isaiah 42:8-9

[8] I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.[9] Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.

Isaiah 46:9-11

[9] Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,[10] Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:[11] Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.

God's Word will not Return Void

Isaiah 55:8-11

[8] For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.[9] For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.[10] For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:[11] So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Jeremiah 11:1-8

[1] The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,[2] Hear ye the words of this covenant, and speak unto the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem;[3] And say thou unto them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel; Cursed be the man that obeyeth not the words of this covenant,[4] Which I commanded your fathers in the day that I brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, from the iron furnace, saying, Obey my voice, and do them, according to all which I command you: so shall ye be my people, and I will be your God:[5] That I may perform the oath which I have sworn unto your fathers, to give them a land flowing with milk and honey, as it is this day. Jeremiah 23:21-29

[21] I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied.[22] But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings.[23] Am I a God at hand, saith the LORD, and not a God afar off?[24] Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD.[25] I have heard what the prophets said, that prophesy lies in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed.[26] How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies? yea, they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart;[27] Which think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers have forgotten my name for Baal.[28] The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? saith the LORD.[29] Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?

Jeremiah 25:12-13

[12] And it shall come to pass, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Babylon, and that nation, saith the LORD, for their iniquity, and the land of the Chaldeans, and will make it perpetual desolations.[13] And I will bring upon that land all my words which I have pronounced against it, even all that is written in this book, which Jeremiah hath prophesied against all the nations.

Ezekiel 11:17-21

[17] Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even gather you from the people, and assemble you out of the countries where ye have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.[18] And they shall come thither, and they shall take away all the detestable things thereof and all the abominations thereof from thence.[19] And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh:[20] That they may walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances, and do them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.[21] But as for them whose heart walketh after the heart of their detestable things and their abominations, I will recompense their way upon their own heads, saith the Lord GOD.

Ezekiel 12:21-28

God reveals His secrets to His Prophets

Amos 3:7

[7] Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

Habakkuk 2:1-4

[1] I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved.[2] And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.[3] For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.[4] Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.


The Lord Jesus DEFEATS Satan's attempt to destroy the mission of the Lord by the supreme authority of the Scriptures.


Matthew 4:1-11 (Luke 4:4 every word of God)

[1] Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.[2] And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.[3] And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.[4] But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.[5] Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,[6] And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.[7] Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.[8] Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;[9] And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.[10] Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.[11] Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

The Lord Jesus did not come to destroy the law, but to fulfill the law

Matthew 5:17-19

[17] Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.[18] For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.[19] Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 11:11-13

[9] But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? yea, I say unto you, and more than a prophet.[10] For this is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.[11] Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.[12] And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.[13] For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.

[38] Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee.[39] But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:[40] For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.[41] The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.[42] The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.[43] When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.[44] Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.[45] Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.

2 Corinthians 11:2-4

[2] For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.[3] But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.[4] For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

Signs and Wonders also come from False Prophets

Revelation 13:11-15

[11] And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.[12] And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.[13] And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,[14] And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.[15] And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
